Outline for 85cc and up
Day 1
(prerequisite: Operate a motorcycle on your own)
Bike setup
–check your bike to make sure that the controls are properly adjusted and in
good working order.
Stationary Drills – To learn the different techniques that we will be using in
the practice drills.
Practice Drills – To learn the ABC’s of Motocross (Accelerating, Braking and
Cornering)
Day 2
(prerequisite: Successfully completed Day 1)
Practice Drill – We will do a practice
drill that will put all the ABC’s together from Day 1.
Jumping – Different techniques for
jumping higher and further, along with techniques for staying closer to the
ground and shortening the distance.
Whoops
(if available)
– Practice different
techniques for mastering the whoops sections.
Starts – Techniques for starting straighter, faster and smoother.
Day 3
(prerequisite: Successfully completed Days 1&2)
Review – The different
techniques learned in Day 1 and Day 2.
Diet & Exercise – Discuss
some of the things you can do to help you perform better.
Track Time – Walk the track and discuss different lines along with the proper
techniques to use.
More Track Time
– We will ride short sections of the track to practice the different lines
and techniques.
